Blahgy Blog
1. I am bad at idle chit chat and really don't have time for it. Be my friend, genuinely, or get out of the way so that I can get a cup of coffee and go home.
2. I am tired. And cranky. Because I have a 6 month old baby who is teething.
3. I have a ridiculous amount of homework all of the time, every. single. day. most of which stays packed in my school bag because
4. I have a ridiculous amount of housework to do, too.
5. I haven't felt "well" in a while, probably because of hormones.. or lack of exercise..or lack of vegetables.. or due to stress.. probably because I have 150 students, 3 preps, and some really demanding parents (as in one sent me a boldface list of demands, to which I raised my middle finger).
6. I'm balding.
7. I'm so so SO tired. I think I already mentioned it. But I can't remember because I'm SO so tired.
Ironically, I am actually in the holiday spirit, probably because I am so excited to make it special for Baby Jack. He is a relief to all of my cantankery.
I'm sorry for being all grumpy on my blog, or really, my "blah-g". It probably means I'll be getting a call or two from my family. But I promise to get better soon. I do have a break coming up. All I have to do is survive tomorrow and then I might be able to catch up and breathe.
And there is hope. I'm on a red kick lately and recently helped myself to some RED unmentionables from Victoria's Secret, and a red pea coat to match. I'll throw on my heels and it's a party... but not a faculty Christmas one.

Okay, I totally think I am balding too. I never feel good, and I am pretty sure that it's something to do with my hormones. I haven't been to the doctor yet because I really don't want them to just hand me some pills and tell me that they might fix it.
That does you no good at all. But i thought you might like to know that your bald, tired, never feeling good and only half as cool twin is up here in NC. - December 18, 2008 at 6:18 PM

Hope that personal party is all you want and more. That should definitely lift your, ummmm, spirits! :)
Glad you have a break coming up. Can't imagine being a mom and a teacher again. ick. You are tough. - December 18, 2008 at 7:38 PM

I think we all get the yucky stress blues. I think I may be there even though I am getting ready to go home for the holidays. I think it is getting Alyce and I ready to go. That is such a mess. Any ways I hope all is well for you.
Good luck with the teething. I totally mean that it is so hard to go through. I send Jack lots of hugs.
I hope your day goes by fast so you can get a break and have fun with Jack. Dress up in your outfit and dance around with Jack. - December 18, 2008 at 7:42 PM

We all have those moments. Don't worry about it. I do hope things liven up for you. And you are a great mom for making the holidays special for Jack. Kids are such blessings.

1. Your tag, "dryer lint equivalent," is hilarious. Inaccurate, but hilarious.
2. The way you wrote "blah-g" sounds in my head like one of my cousins saying "blog". No mean Yankee comments.
3. Don't worry about your bahhumbugness. I'm the one who, rather loudly at the entrance to the party, said "I got your fuckin' Christmas party right here!" We're both joy kills, but the proximity of the curse word to a reference to Jesus' birthday means I'll get struck by the lightning.
4. I'm balding, too. Poor Jamie actually had to use the plunger on the shower drain. Yeah, you read that right. Sorry if it made you throw up a little. I won't describe what he pulled out of there, but I will say most of it used to grow out of my head.
5. Jamie and I had a conversation over dinner tonight about why both of us are feeling like we are drowning lately. Then I read your blog. And yet again I have to say that you are our sister.
6. Love you, sis. :) - December 18, 2008 at 10:18 PM
